The 2008 Grand Prix of Italy was held on September 14 2008. It was the 14th event of the season. The Grand Prix was held at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit and was 53 laps long. The race was won by Sebastian Vettel. It was the only win of the season for Vettel. The German, who drove for STR-Ferrari, finished the race in 1:26:47.494. He had a lead of 12.5 secs to Heikki Kovalainen who came in second and finished 20.4 secs in front of Robert Kubica who was third. Of the 20 drivers who competed in the race, 1 retired. Because of his win Sebastian Vettel went from P12 to P9.
It was the 59th time that the Grand Prix of Italy was held and the 58th time at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza circuit.
