The 2003 Grand Prix of Hungary was held on August 24 2003. It was the 13th event of the season. The Grand Prix was held at the Hungaroring circuit and was 70 laps long. The race was won by Fernando Alonso. It was the only win of the season for Alonso. The Spaniard, who drove for Renault, finished the race in 1:39:01.460. He had a lead of 16.7 secs to Kimi Raikkonen who came in second and finished 34.5 secs in front of Juan Pablo Montoya who was third. Of the 20 drivers who competed in the race, 7 retired. Because of his win Fernando Alonso went from P6 to P5.
It was the 18th time that the Grand Prix of Hungary was held at the Hungaroring circuit.
