John Surtees is a British former driver who last drove for Surtees-Ford in 1972.
He was born on February 11th 1934 in Tatsfield. He made his Grand Prix debut in a Lotus-Climax during the 1960 Grand Prix of Monaco. Surtees was active for 13 consecutive seasons between 1960 and 1972. In those years he scored 180 points in 112 races. During his career Surtees achieved 6 wins and 24 podiums. His last race was the the 1972 Grand Prix of Italy.
