Mike Hailwood was a British former Formula One driver who last drove for McLaren-Ford in 1974.
He was born on April 2nd 1940 in Great Milton and passed away on March 23rd 1981 at the age of 40. He made his Grand Prix debut in a Lotus-Climax during the 1963 Grand Prix of Great Britain. Hailwood was active for 7 seasons between 1963 and 1974. In that period he scored 29 points in 50 races. During his career Hailwood wasn't able to win a race but finished 2 times on the podium. His last race was the the 1974 Grand Prix of Germany.
