Flashback: Championship standing in old point systems

We haven't had 25 points for the winner forever. The system with 10 drivers who get points was brought in last year to spice things up. But what would have happened if they didn't change it?
The answer is simple: not much. Only the position of Vitaly Petrov would change if they were to adopt the 1991 point system. The Russian would be 7th instead of 8th. Although the gap to Sebastian Vettel is now almost 80 points it's the smallest of the points systems. Webber now has 60.8% of Vettel's points. In 2003 he would have 60.7% and in 1991 he would only have 42.3% of Vettel's points.
This is how to old systems work:
1991: Top 6 drivers get points (10-6-4-3-2-1)
2003: Top 8 drivers get points (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)
