D'Ambrosio will race tomorrow
Posted: Saturday June 11th 2011, 19:48 GMT
The stewards have decided that Jerome d'Ambrosio is free to race in tomorrow's Canadian Grand Prix. The Belgian didn't set a time within 107% of the fastest lap. The Virgin driver only managed to do a 1:19.414. The 107% time he had to beat was 1:18.990.
One of the reasons that he is allowed to race is that he crashed in yesterday's free practice and had to use a spare chassis since. It is the first time that a Virgin car didn't make it within 107% of the fastest time.
