
Tony Fernandes receives one of Malaysia's highest honours

Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes has been conferred the Panglima Setia Mahkota in honour of the Malaysian Majesty's official birthday celebration. The Panglima Setia Mahkota is one of Malasyia's highest honours and can only be conferred by the head of state. Only 250 Malaysians have been given the title so far.
Overall Fernandes has had a pretty good weeks after acquiring Caterham Cars, the first Q2 appearance in Barcelona, winning important parts in the name dispute with Group Lotus and winning the first victory of his junior GP2 team. Last week he was also named one of the Most Creative People in Business for 2011 by Fast Company.
Currently his business 'empire' consists of the Team Lotus Formula 1 team, the AirAsia GP2 team, Caterham Cars, budget airliner AirAsia and Tune Group.
