
Indian circuit gets name and logo

The new circuit that shall be used for the inaugural Indian Grand Prix is named. The circuit will be called 'Buddh International Circuit'. The circuit, designed by Herman Tilke, is a little over 5.14km long.
The track is named after the region where the track is located: The Gautam Budh Nagar district near Greater Noida. With the unveiling of its official name the company behind the circuit also unveiled the logo of the circuit. The logo is a stylized B in the colors of the Indian flag. The letter B stands for Buddh and Bharat (India in Hindi). The curves in the logo are symbolic for the flow of the circuit.
The $400 million track will host its first Grand Prix on October 30th this year. They expect FIA homologation in July or August.
